Located 70 miles from Telluride and 73 miles from Durango Mountain Resort (Purgatory) and about 100 miles from Wolf Creek, Cortez is a great place to stay to enjoy all three mountains. With that much great vertical to choose from it is hard to decide which area to hit up on those winter mornings. Also for the more adventurous powder hunter, the surrounding San Juan national forest areas offer great back country opportunities.
